When I started Pilates in the Grove in 2010 I never imagined–even in my wildest dreams–that we would get as far, as fast as we have today. Our brand has quite literally changed people’s lives—our own included. We have grown into a family and a community. Of course, like any successful organization we’ve had our fair share of good luck, but the entire team–now at 17 in house employees–deserves most of the credit.
And as our results today show, the future is bright. But as Pilates in the Grove has grown, managing the business has become more complicated. So, after careful consideration, I have been talking for a long time about how best to simplify our management structure, speed up decision making, and continue to generate growth. I have decided now was the right moment to make some changes to the way we are structured.
I will now focus my energy where I feel I can add the greatest value: externally, on the deals, partnerships, customers and broader business relationships, technology, thoughtful leadership, and as a mentor to the rest of the team. For that reason, I will be stepping away from teaching classes and taking on additional clients for a period of time. I will continue to assess and evaluate incoming Physical Therapy patients and will be available for the occasional private session when my schedule permits. I will eagerly be awaiting the opportunity to cover a class when an instructor is away and look forward to continuing to watch all of you progress in your practice.
I am confident that this focus will serve Pilates in the Grove and our customers well in the future. I have worked exceptionally closely with my team over the last year to ensure we have a strong, powerful and prepared staff to continue to bring the level of high quality instruction and treatment you have all come to expect from us–and we anticipate working together for a long time to come. I love Pilates in the Grove – our people, our products, and most of all the opportunity we have to improve the lives of people in our community and beyond.
Thank you for your continued loyalty and support.
