For every day between December 25th and New Years you’ll have a different Pilates movement to do.

 

Whether your goal is to lose a little holiday weightstand up straighter, or get a head start on your New Year resolutions, this is a fun 12 days of Pilates Holiday challenge!

After the plethora of holiday parties, dinners, sweets and treats, the new year offers a chance to start over with a clean slate.

Almost everyone decides to make a new year’s resolution and very often it’s about losing weight or something vague. I prefer to make many small resolutions. I think we all have more than one area we can improve upon in our lives so why not pick a few, attainable changes we’d like to make in 2016. Here are some ideas for possible 2016 mini-resolutions that I hope you can add to your list.

 

Stop texting and driving. I have to admit I am guilty of this myself sometimes. When the phone is sitting right on your lap it’s hard to fight the temptation of looking at your phone when it lights up and makes a noise. Yet, I think the research is undeniable that texting and driving is more dangerous than drunk driving! 23 Achievable New Years Resolutions

So it’s a new year and we just completed another holiday season.

With the holidays being a great time for fun, food, and family, but also a time of guilt and remorse (why did I eat so much sugar?!), sometimes New Years can be met with a feeling of relief to start anew, or dread, knowing it’s time to make those new years resolutions again that were never met last year. While making resolutions for self improvement are wonderful (losing weight, eating healthier,  sticking to a budget etc.), they are often confronted with frustration, dread, and then guilt if in fact 4 months after the New Year has begun the first step towards those new goals haven’t even been initiated.

 

So while I encourage and applaud the “typical” resolutions, I’ve also come up with a list that will hopefully be met with excitement and anticipation that will change the way we look at resolutions, and give us things to DO instead of give up. Think of it as a way to add...
