How long have you been at Pilates in the Grove?
I have been working here just over a year now.
If Joseph Pilates were alive today and you had the chance to work with him what would you ask him to teach you?
Bridging on the Ladder Barrel. I find it challenging and am looking for ways to improve my form.
What is your favorite Pilates exercise and why?
My favorite exercise is a toss up between Teaser on the box and Scooter. Teaser on the box is a wonderful exercise that requires whole body movement, control, and coordination when I feel like a challenge. The flow of the exercise is beautifully choreographed. Scooter is the perfect exercise to work on your balance, postural alignment, and your gluts, hamstrings, and quadriceps at the same time. I feel this one all over!
What is the last book you read and what are you currently reading?
The last book I read was the Engine 2 challenge by Rip Esselstyn. It’s a quick, easy read packed with delicious healthy recipes and information about your health and our health as a nation. I’m current reading The China Study by T. Colin Campbell. This one is a bit more demanding of your attention. It is PACKED with research evidence on diet and how it will affect your health. It is my second time reading it because there is so much information but it will change your life and health forever!
If you had to leave your home immediately and could only grab three things what would they be?
If there was a fire and I only had time to grab 3 things I would grab a snack (girl’s gotta eat), my lulu lemon clothes drawer, and as many pictures as I could- those are priceless.
What is a fun fact that many people do not know about you?
Whenever I’m alone in an elevator I dance like I’m in a Zumba class or Ballet class and hope there are no cameras.
Describe your teaching style in one word?
What makes you smile?
A beautiful sunset and a glass of wine.
