Carrie’s Morning Kick-Starter Smoothie

As most of you know I am a morning person (for the most part). I have been accustomed to early morning practices from my swimming days (we used to have to be IN the pool by 5:45am!)

But, I have always struggled with eating super early in the morning. Who has an appetite at 5:30am? Or can even fathom trying to put something in their stomach. In college I would usually go a full 2.5 hour practice with NOTHING in my stomach and come out completely famished and then proceed to eat EVERYTHING in sight.

I have learned my body cannot just function on coffee and then go to work for several hours without eating anything.. You know what they say, breakfast is the MOST important meal of the day!

So here is my morning kick-starter smoothie 🙂

1 banna
1/2 cup of frozen organic blueberries (sometimes other berries mixed in)
1 scoop of Green Superfood Dark Chocolate powder
1 cup Almond Milk
3 TBSP Hemp seeds
1 TBSP chia seeds
handful of organic frozen kale or spinach
